Community Art refers to artistic activity based in a community setting. It is for the benefit and enjoyment of everyone in the community. We are thrilled to announce the most recent community art installation. Works by Alfred Tibor are on view outside the Miller Park Library as well as in the traffic circle in front.
The works reflect feelings and activities that take place in a park including movement, play, time spent with family, freedom, all themes that relate this work to this space. Alfred emphasizes subjects that deal with life and life’s experiences in his work. He shapes his pieces to reflect the inner feelings of the human being.
Alfred, a holocaust survivor and the only remaining member of his family, believes life is a celebration. This attitude is reflected in all his pieces. Please watch this video to learn more about this extraordinary artist.
We are excited about this partnership with the Upper Arlington Public Library – installing these pieces at Miller Park Library is a fantastic opportunity and we look forward to realizing our shared vision.
