Goodwill “Flight”

January 5-27

The Goodwill Art Studio & Gallery is an innovative fine arts program serving over 80 artists with disabilities and other barriers. This program offers the opportunity for creative self-expression, improved self-esteem, increased life satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment through encouragement and collaboration with professional artists. This process results in the creation of high quality artwork that is original and expressive. The artists gain recognition through exhibitions in local galleries, Goodwill Art Studio & Gallery exhibitions, the Goodwill Columbus website, and social media. Sales of artwork provide income for artists and help us to continue programming.

Works by Paul Weber, Kate Menke and Rebecca Rea
November 1-30,  Reception November 4, 5-7pm

Three artists explore “vessels” in their work and the resulting pieces span a range of interpretations and techniques. In each case the artist infuses the work with his or her own symbolism and invites the viewer to look beyond the vessel itself and see what meaning it may contain.
